Rapid Structural Drying Process

Rapid structural drying works by eliminating trapped moisture from upholstered items, carpets, walls, and other building materials. Our rapid structural drying process is comprised of four steps: active water extraction, water evaporation, structural dehumidification, and temperature control.

  • Active water extraction:

Our professionals use top-notch industrial vacuums and other equipment to remove water from your building materials (e.g., carpets, walls, wood framing, and more).

  • Water evaporation (airflow):

Rainbow Restoration employs air movers to emit a powerful air stream to help evaporate moisture and dry carpets, walls, and other construction materials. A 10' x 10' room, for example, will need four air movers to thoroughly dry the space.

  • Structural dehumidification:

Remnants of vapor may still be trapped in the air despite the air movers that are used to evaporate water. It’s important to incorporate structural dehumidification to remove moisture from the air, turn it into liquid, and eliminate it from your home. If the dehumidification process is not applied, moisture may be absorbed back into your surfaces and cause mold growth.

  • Temperature control:

The typical temperature used to dry out most items is 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent mold growth.
